LinkedIn Scam
Cybercriminals are impersonating LinkedIn and posting fake comments on your LinkedIn posts.
Don’t always believe the comments you receive on your LinkedIn posts! In the latest scam, cybercriminals are impersonating LinkedIn and commenting on your post claiming you have violated the platform’s policies, and your account is now temporarily restricted!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
· These comments look to be coming from LinkedIn. They use the name and even use their logo!
· The scam includes a link that goes to a fake webpage. This webpage has a verify your identity button that asks for your username and password.
· Any information entered on the fake webpage goes in the hands of cybercriminals.
TIPS:
· Never click an unexpected link!
· Be cautious of comments that urge you to take an action or claim your account is suspended.
· Always report fake accounts!
· Remember LinkedIn will not contact you in a comment about any policy violations.
