This Links Technology Solutions Help Desk Support client recently made the decision to apply for certain Federal Certifications for their business. As a result, the tape backup to their databases, which had been adequate in the past, became obsolete.
The Solution
Links, armed with a complete understanding of our client's infrastructure, was able to provide a new, offsite, Internet-based, backup solution that eliminated the need for tapes. This system guarantees daily, weekly, monthly, and annual backups to all necessary data. Ubistor software automatically encrypts the data for backup each night, then sends it over the Internet to two remote and 100% secure data centers. Files are clearly marked, however information remains encrypted.
Data, even including something as small as a deleted email, can be restored to the customer's file server, using the same software, via the Internet, in a matter of minutes. Once restored, the information is no longer encrypted. Links provides this restoration as a part of our backup solution.
Links Technology Solutions also monitors these backups nightly, to ensure they are successful and completed. The process is seamless to the customer.
